Make a video self profile highlighting your best photography and video. Length: 1:30 to 2:00.
- Collect your best work. Decide which single images, picture stories and video you would like to include and discuss.
- Experiment with your creativity.
- Do not use mediocre work.
- Edit visuals first then speak to the visuals. Or. Write out your thoughts while looking at your photographs. Record it and then fill in the visuals.
- Use your creativity to create a video profile highlighting your work in a unique way that will provide a marketing tool for you.
- Share stories about specific photographic experiences.
- Discuss your vision and passion. Why do you want to be a photographer?
- Help your buddy produce their video.
- Be yourself.
- Your audience is a potential client or employer.
- Use music sparingly. Do not overpower your voice with music.
- Professionally light your video interview of yourself. Or use self portraits. Or you can use the technique from the second video in this post. See 2:27 of Atbin Eslami’s video
- If you show an interview of yourself, it must be a well lit strong visual video with no distracting or annoying background. Use a telephoto lens. Shoot two or three shots simultaneously to give you editing advantages.
- The audio of yourself speaking must be technically perfect.
